Pool Time

Kennedy and I have enjoyed going to the pool on warm days. Finally it looks like the warmth is here to stay so we'll be going much more regularly. It's been hard to pull daddy away from his studies to come with us, but two weeks ago we were able to for Family Home Evening. It was beautiful outside and as you can see, Kennedy was pumped for the evening. :)

Sadly after being there for not more than 20 minutes, out of nowhere a huge storm rolled in (thank you to crazy Utah spring weather). We canceled the swimming and had to change Kennedy into pants and a sweatshirt. Go figure. It sprinkled on us during our bbq dinner and we had to cut things short. Thank heavens for water heaters and warm baths.....that was the highlight of the night!

We managed to convince Daddy to come back to the pool with us last Saturday and it was gorgeous weather for us the whole time! We had so much fun. Here's Kennedy sporting her new pool cover-up from Grandma. (Please stop and appreciate for a moment the fact that she is actually looking at the camera and smiling......a very rare occurrence. :) You would think for what a happy, energized child she is we'd have a million of these, but she hasn't seemed to catch the grasp of picture taking yet.)

She likes to hold onto the wall all by herself.....very independent this one is. :)

She was so worn out after playing with Daddy in the pool that by the end Mommy got some wonderful cuddle time. :)

She is so cute! I love her kung-fu grip on the side of the pool! It's great that she loves the water.

Okay, did you bring the high chair to the pool? That's totally awesome! She looks adorable!
